Military History Tours          On Tour - Our Other ANZAC Day - 21 April 2010

The Our Other ANZAC Day Travellers arrive in Paris

Planes and Boats and Trains

As can be seen from the photograph, there are not many on the ground as yet. We can only hope that those still coming or trying to come to Paris, can make it against the combined impediments of both the Icelandic volcano and the airline scheduling.

Our people are however not succumbing to those impediments and in true ANZAC spirit are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to be there at Villers-Bretonneux for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service. Carol Spencer and her uncle Eddie Fowles have been isolated in Singapore for quite a few days and have not been able to convince their airline to take them to Paris so Carol gathered a few other lost souls and coerced her way onto a flight to Frankfurt where the party will train down to Paris.

Trains, changing airlines and sweet talking has allowed another number of our team to further their chances of being with us in the Somme. We will be at Villers-Bretonneux and be able to pay our respects to those who paid the supreme sacrifice in that terrible conflict.

Our first group to arrive included Charles Murray and Denise and Ross Konowalenko, Charles by air and Denise and Ross by Eurostar.
