Military History Tours On Tour - Boer War 110th Anniversary Tour Extension - 10 June 2012A great day today, our host Diederik van 't Hof of ‘Touch Africa Safaris' (www.touch-africa-safaris.com) met us at our hotel at 09:45 and we headed west. Lunch was at the trendy village of Belfast, where we ate the most magnificent crepes; mine had a butternut pumpkin filling with a spicy pink sauce. Really very nice; and only around $10 including a drink of bottled water. Back on the road we headed to Hannah Lodge. Great accommodation; we were even greeted by a hornbill on the access road. As night fell we went on a sunset game park tour, and were able to see ostrich, deer, buffalos and rhinos, though by the time we came across the rhinos, the light had gone so no photos. Thence back to the lodge for a warm fire and more great eats. Tomorrow we head off to the white river area.
