Our group arrived from different parts of Australia and the UK, coming together for the first time for drinks in the garden of our hotel, the Safari Club near Johannesburg Airport.
As the sun was going down, John Howells gave a short briefing on the course of the conflict, and where the tour will take us. Our dinner was a traditional South African chicken dish, well appreciated by all. Tomorrow is a big day, we will be leaving the hotel at 08:00 to make the most of
it.
We have been able to make a slight adjustment to tomorrow's itinerary taking in a look at 4 Hans van Rensburg Street, Polokwane where the infamous Morant, Handcock and Whitton trial took place
beginning on 16 January 1902.
