Military History Tours          On Tour - Bomber Command (RAAF in the UK) 11 July 2015

Our day at Duxford for the Air Show. We left our hotel at Bedford at 0830 to head across country to Duxford for our attendance at the Air Show. On the way, we drove through some beautiful country, even though it was a bit parched. The crowd seemed much bigger than last year and we arrived, parked our coach and entered the venue.

We established a waiting point where I would be at 1200, 1400 and 1600. This was due to the size of the area and that many are doing their own thing while at the Show and if I need to contact them or they me we would have a reference point for gathering if necessary.

All joined the Friends of the Collection, which gave us a seat from which to view the Show. Then most dispersed in order to see the static displays prior to the commencement of the Flying. All had a wonderful day as we saw planes fly and had many ice creams and water due to the heat.

Our driver also had a good day but did not venture into the show itself. Tomorrow the Shuttleworth Collection and maybe another flying display.
